"Brevard Appliance Repair came out to see why our Samsung French door refrigerator's ice maker stopped working for the second time in the 5 yrs. we have had it. We need yet another new ice maker because our wasn't even getting power. Brevard Appliance Repair scheduled us within hours and showed up on time. The repairman was very professional and friendly. He ordered the new ice maker and said they should have the part within a few days and he would be back to install it. We used a different repair company the last time the ice maker broke and they charged us $375 plus the initial housecall. Brevard Appliance Repair is charging us $260, with no extra fee for the housecall."

"Everything went well. Initially, we had considered buying a new refrigerator, but decided to fix the old one instead; due to the custom size of ours, available space and cabinetry. Lew and Charlie were both timely, professional and got the job done. They came out twice. Once to diagnose our problem, and again to fix it. Both times they were able to come out relatively quickly after my call. I definitely recommend Brevard Appliance Repair and would use again. "I thought perhaps dust and dog hair around the condenser coils was the problem, but vacuuming did not fix it. So I called Brevard Appliance Repair around 10:00 AM. They said Ray would come out between 12:00 and 2:00 PM. He called around 12:45 and arrived about 1:00 PM. I'd already turned the breaker off, cleaned out the defrost drain, and removed the ice from the freezer walls with a hairdryer. He asked a few questions and quickly determined it was either the defrost heater, defrost timer, or defrost thermostat causing a buildup of ice behind the back wall of the freezer which impeded the flow of cold air. He went to his truck to see if he had the parts on hand, which he did. Before he started the work he gave me an estimate of repair costs, dependent on which parts had to be replaced once he got inside the unit to test them. Turns out only the defrost heater (the most expensive part) had to be replaced. After the $10 Senior Discount offered for Angie's List customers, the total cost was $250. This included about 2 hours of labor taking it apart, removing the ice build-up, and putting it back together again. Not bad in my view! It went through a series of defrost cycles Monday afternoon/evening and overnight, so by Tuesday morning it was cooling as it should, making ice, and keeping temperatures well within the "safe" zone on both sides. David called me 10 minutes before the scheduled 2 hour window to let me know he was on his way, which I really appreciated! He arrived when he said he would and went right to work. "I wrote a message on Angie's list and he responded within the hour. He then called and we set a time for the next day. He was on time. He came in and cleaned out the washer and showed me the problem. My baby's socks were getting into the drum and clogging the filter. It was a smelly, moldy job but he cleared all the socks out. He told me that I needed a mesh bag to wash the socks. He also said that my washer was on its last legs (we just moved in and I didn't know it was 10 years old!), and told me some good places to find discounts. I would use him again in a heartbeat. His price was very reasonable and he was personable and professional while in my home.

He fixed our washer! It was not draining and the cycle was stopping before the last spin. He cleaned out the filter, told us why it was not draining (clogged with baby socks) and told us how to prevent future problems."

"My fridge has been acting up lately. Last night was the final straw. It would only run for 5 minutes, then shutdown for 5 minutes, the run for 5 minutes, etc. Our food wasnt going to last in that condition. I called at 0820 in the morning and left a message. A few minutes later I get a return call from them. They took down my info and said a tech will call me shortly. The tech called and said he would meet me at my house. He was there when I arrived home. The tech was Vaughn. He was very courteous. I told him about the issues I was having with the fridge. He got to see exactly how the unit was behaving, ie the 5 minutes on, 5 minutes off continuous cycle. He troubleshot the fridge for a while and determined the control board had to be replaced. But as soon as he started troubleshooting, he discovered that this fridge had been previously repaired. We have only been in the house for 2 years and know we didnt have this done. So the previous homeowner evidently had some work done in the past on the fridge. He didnt have that part on hand/in stock. He checked his supplier and they were out of stock as well. He told me that I could wait for him to get the part from his supplier or I could find one on my own if I wanted. He showed me what the repair consisted of, which is really easy. So I decided to find one on my own. We searched the internet and found a few sources he recommended, but the company he deals with didnt have it at all. That is why he did a search of other companies/stores to see who had it in stock. So I found one and ordered it. It should arrive in a day compared to everyone else's 5-7 business days. I was very pleased with my experience with this company and would use them again. Vaughn was very honest and upfront about everything. His entire approach was to do what was best for the customer and I appreciate that. It is good to find an appliance repair company with people like Vaughn. "

"Refrigerator was not cooling, all the fans were working, the condenser and evaporator coils were clean and clear, and the compressor was trying to start but shutting off after about 10 seconds. Called at 10:00 AM to the Brevard Appliance Repair desk, and desk called the service tech with symptoms. Desk called back after talking to the tech, scheduled appt for between 5-6 PM same day. Service tech called around 4:30, said he'd be driving to my location and eta 40 min, went over symptoms again, and discussed possible options. Tech showed up 5 minutes early. He quickly checked out refrigerator, diagnosed problem (failed relay and overload protector probably due to electric surge) and replaced with parts he had on hand (factory parts) and provided one year parts warrantee. Reassembled all the parts I'd taken off, wiped down appliance, and stayed long enough to verify that unit was now functioning. Total time of visit about an hour. I probably could have done the work myself, but it would have taken me at least a week to get the part and much more than an hour to install, reassemble; I'd rather have my refrigerator back SAME DAY!!! Well worth it and I'd definately use them again.

"I called Brevard Appliance Repair mid morning and the technician, Vaughn, was there in the afternoon the same day. I described how my icemaker was leaking and he immediately knew what the problem was. The icemaker had to be replaced and Vaughn had the correct part in his truck. In only about 15 minutes the new icemaker was installed and working great. Vaughn was very personable and knowledgeable and did a great job. I will call Brevard Appliance Repair anytime I have a problem with a major appliance.

"My 3 yo Samsung dryer stopped heating. My wife saw the ad for BAR in the Savings Safari and I checked out the Google reviews. Based on their stellar reviews we called and were surprised the tech could be out in a few hours. He called shortly thereafter and was here within an hour. Charlie was much younger than we expected, but his knowledge and skill were quickly apparent. He listened to the troubleshooting steps I had performed then set to work. He quickly determined the heating element was bad and had the replacement in his van. He was honest and professional. I was very impressed with the company and their tech, Charlie. If I need an appliance repaired in the future I will only call BAR. Do yourself a favor and stop clicking around...Call them."

"I just want to thank Brevard Appliance Repair for being so kind and willing to help when we got into a horrendous situation with another local "Appliance and Repairs" shop also located in Melbourne. That company sold us a fridge that simply did not work. We were at a loss of what to do and decided to call someone else to run diagnostics on our fridge. So I called Brevard Appliance Repair. When I called, I loved that I immediately spoke to the owner Victor. He was very courteous and understanding of our situation. He was so helpful and was able to squeeze us in the very next day. A senior technician came out and quickly diagnosed the issue. He was completely honest and told us it would cost more to repair this fridge than what we had just paid for it. He could have easily convinced us to do the repair, but instead he was honest. In the moment, I knew there is no one else I would ever call again for a appliance repair. "Let me just say that Brevard Appliance came through BIG in my books. As a professional franchisee business owner and landlord I cannot thank them enough for making things right with quality customer service. One of my dryers had drum issues about 7 months ago. We called Brevard Appliance and they repaired the broken drum for a fair price. 7 months later some parts worked their way loose and the drum had issues again. Brevard Appliance came out and repaired the drum free of charge and told us to let them know if there were ever any troubles. WOW! That's what we all like to hear. Other appliance repair shops might have blamed it on another part so they could charge more for their time, Not Brevard Appliance Repair. GREAT JOB GUYS! It is good to know businesses like yours, who back up their work, still exist."

"Called Brevard Appliance Repair about the clothes dryer, which was making an awful scratching noise. They were able to come take a look at it the same day. Vaughn (one of the co-owners) was great. Diagnosed the problem, explained the issue, took the dryer apart just to double-check that everything else was working. It was a relatively minor issue; Vaughn had it fixed in under half an hour and charged us only for labor. Highly recommend!"
